I had to take a week off from the comic since life was way hectic.  In fact, this comic was posted pretty late on the Monday after my personal goal of getting it out on Sundays.  The important part is that I’m getting it out there, I guess!  I started working third shift again, have two online jobs, dogsit about half the week for my mom, and also sometimes I’m greedy enough to sleep, so I’m glad I was able to get the comic out at all!

We finally get to meet the other two longterm characters of the story.  They’re unnamed in the text of the comic, but the character tags and the transcript above kind of give it away early.  Oh well – you’ll come to know them pretty well fairly quickly!

This comic has already had a notable piece of history, a day before it was even posted!  My roommate saw me with panel 4 zoomed in so that only the first sentence was visible, and she decided to read it in a very sensual manner.  I told her “That’s definitely not the way I intended it”, then zoomed out for her to see the characters and said “but given how they’re looking at each other I can’t blame you for thinking that!”  I think this technically means my comic has its first shipping of two characters who aren’t canonically together, which makes me proud in a weird way!  As I say in a few different places, all of my work is under the Creative Commons NC rules, so any fan works are fair game!

Oh, and for those worrying about Rupert’s well-being, the staple is just pinching his sweater.
